The NHS is raising awareness of their Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening, which takes place every fortnight at Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
AAA is an enlargement of the main blood vessel in the abdomen and if left untreated it can be fatal. It is a condition that is symptomless, which is why screening is offered.
Men aged 65+ are most at risk. NHS screening invitations will be sent out to men aged 65 this year and those over 65 can request a scan.
