Kent Police was called at 9.45am on Friday 21 June 2024 to a report of a man standing outside female public toilets at a leisure centre on William Street.

Arrested

It was reported that the man followed two women into the toilets on separate occasions, before leaving in the direction of the High Street.

Officers attended and shortly afterwards arrested a man nearby.

Charged

Later the same day, Michael Goodwin, 67, was charged with three offences in connection with the reports that were in breach of a SHPO.

Mr Goodwin, of High View Avenue, appeared initially before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 22 June and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.
