Tomorrow (Thursday 2 May), voters will go to the polls for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Kent election.

Polling stations will be open at the usual election times of 7am to 10pm.

There are no elections for city or county councillors on Thursday – just the PCC election.

Please remember that if you are voting in a polling station, you will need to bring an acceptable form of photo ID. You can see the list of what is acceptable photo ID on the national government website.

And if you intend to return your postal vote at the polling station on election day, please be aware of the new national rules in place that will require you to complete a postal vote return form. Read more on this.

The count for the PCC election will take place on Sunday 5 May. We will post the result of the vote in the Canterbury district once it has been declared.
