After expressing an interest, a member is not permitted to take part in discussions or votes on the subject unless the proper dispensation has been granted.

3- Participation in Public

The council meets in public and makes its decisions. A council meeting is not open to the public. There is no legal requirement allowing members of the public to speak at such meetings because it is a public gathering.

However, the council is eager to promote public attendance at meetings and nbsp, so it will give local registered voters a chance to demonstrate its commitment to community involvement.

Each person may speak for a maximum of 3 minutes, and the total amount of time allotted for public participation at each meeting may not exceed 15 minutes. The Chairman may, however, decide to extend this time in exceptional circumstances.

6- Exception

to decide whether to grant Councillor Burrell a pardon for his absence from meetings.

Council members who do not comply with Section 85( 1 ) of the Local Government Act of 1972
Attending a Council meeting over the course of six months will no longer be required.
Unless the Council has previously approved a dispensation, member of the council
the time when that period ends.

Members are advised to approve the dispensation for Cllr. J. Burrell, who is unlikely to be able to attend a Council meeting before the end of this six-month period due to illness.

7- Notice of Extraordinary Meeting

Prior to the scheduled People &amp, Performance Committee Meeting on February 21, 2024, an Extraordinary Council Meeting will be added.

To decide who will receive the tender for the Stone Recreation Ground Masterplan, it will be necessary to call an Extraordinary Meeting of the Council. It is suggested that this meeting take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 7 p.m., and that the People &amp, Performance Committee meeting follow.

The addition of this meeting to the Calendar of Meetings must be resolved by members.

8- Village boys

to hear a verbal update regarding the Lads of the Village Public House and Community Asset submission’s closure.

9- Allotments on Kirby Road

to take note of and talk about the allotments on Kirby Road.

10- Council Budget2024-25

To discuss and approve the Council Budget for 2024–2025

Members are urged to respond to the 2024–25 annual precept request.

The budget suggests a precept amount of £504, 844.

The council tax base for 2023–2024 has been identified as 4297.61. The Council Tax Support Grant’s price has been confirmed to be £7, 021, unchanged from 2023–2024.

The proposed budget maintains a Band D property annual fee of £117.47, which represents an increase of £6.48&nbsp to Parish Residents, after accounting for the corresponding sums.

11- Press andamp, public exclusion

According to section 1( 2 ) of the Public Bodies ( Admission to Meetings ) Act of 1960, the public and the press are required to leave the meeting while the following issues are being discussed.
