New Job Vacancy: Casual Cleaners

Stone Parish Council has two fantastic and well-used community facilities, Stone Pavilion and the Claire Tiltman Centre, with construction of a brand new café also underway. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards at these facilities and our cleaning staff play a key role in achieving this. This role requires staff to work early morning shifts to ensure the venues are ready for use by the community.

You will provide support as part of a team to …

• ensure council venues are efficiently cleaned to a high standard
• undertake periodic deep cleans of venues as needed
• empty rubbish and recycling from bins and transfer to main point
• make records of any issues or faults found while on duty
• advise the cleaning supervisor regarding stock of consumables and cleaning supplies
• undertake training relevant to your role

You will bring …

• previous commercial cleaning experience
• the ability to understand what is required in your role and how this contributes to team priorities.
• an enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful approach to work
• good judgement and the ability to confidently respond in situations
• a hardworking approach with flexibility to suit the hours and needs of the role
• a positive “can-do” attitude

Key outcomes will include:

• receiving positive feedback from hirers regarding high cleanliness standards of the facilities
• achieving a high level of communication and effective team working to support the council’s high-performance standards

Hours & Salary

Hours: This is a zero-hours contract in line with the booking requirements of the venues and will include some Sunday mornings. Please do not apply if you are not able to fulfil this requirement.
Salary: £12ph including local allowance

You can choose to opt in or out of the Local Government Pension Scheme, equivalent of 33 days annual leave including bank holidays (rising to 38 days after 5 years’ service) pro-rata according to hours worked will be paid each pay period as an additional pay accrual, staff discount at Lizzies, free wellbeing advice and counselling service.
