Hairdressing KFE Heats

EKC Dover College invites the rest of the colleges to the KFE heats.

Recently we invited all EKC Colleges to EKC Dover College for the KFE Heats for Hairdressing. After the heats the winner from each category will go onto the KFE rounds later this year.

Part of the heats we invited Trudy Hardy Retired Freelance Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) within the hairdressing industry, Kate O’Leary Professional Stylist and Shelley from Salon Services Hair & Beauty to be our judges. The judges were amazed by the students creations from the various categories. The categories were, first year blow dry, Commercial Cut and Style, Styling Era and Avant Garde.

The winners from each category will be progressing onto the next round KFE heats later on this year. Where we hope they will do just as well.

Fay Morgan Programme Director from EKC Sheppey College said: “Another exciting day spent at EKC Dover College for the EKC heats Hairdressing competition. The event was well organised with the students showing great skills and attention to detail. We were so pleased to have been placed first and second in the different categories and look forward to representing EKC Group in the KFE rounds.”

First Year blow dry:

1st – Cliona Sheehan (EKC Sheppey College)

2nd – Jemima Stilwell (EKC Dover College)

Commercial Cut and Style:

1st – Kayleigh Thirtle (EKC Ashford College)

2nd – Lauren Blackman (EKC Dover College)

Styling Era:

1st – Yuliia Mckinley (EKC Sheppey College)

2nd – Rosie Crawford (EKC Sheppey College)

Avant Garde:

1st – Isabelle Pye (EKC Ashford College)

2nd – Salima Dzhamal (EKC Sheppey College)
