DDC are running a consultation on behalf of BT about the removal of three phone boxes in the District, including the phone box situated near the junction of Cranleigh Drive and Archer’s Court Road.

This is the only publicly available phone to use, should some emergency be in the vicinity of the school.  Although the phone box is rarely used, it does remain that the phone is the nearest to the new school site, and not everyone necessarily carries a mobile all the time.

Interested parties are invited to make representations to the consultation via the DDC website’s planning policy consultation portal, until 5pm on Thursday 24th August, following which DDC will publish a decision on whether the boxes are to be adopted/removed and will then consult on that decision.

More information on the consultation can be found on the Dover website at Removal of BT Telephone Kiosks
