21st January saw the first event of the 2024 season at the Dover Transport Museum. It was the annual run of the National Autocycle and Cyclemotor Club (South East branch) known as the Nick Davenport birthday run.

Despite gale force winds and rain, these intrepid moped riders met at the museum for tea /coffee and toast at 10.00am to sign in and enjoy a quick look around the museum before riding out to the next destination on their day’s tour.

The riders may be on small 50cc mopeds but they are made of stern stuff to brave the elements on a cold ,wet January day with a few dedicated riders even traveling from as far afield as Heathrow and North London, They all returned safely to the museum around 1500 following a good lunch and a grand day out.
