Geoff Stonebanks, a charity and gardener, is not a household name, having been captured on camera in his own yard for BBC Gardeners World in 2016. Fast forward to 2023, and significant changes have been made to the garden to account for hosepipe bans, climate change, and dodgy thighs. The BBC then visited to see how the yard at Driftwood is today.

Geoff arrived at 5:30 am to film the scene, checked all in, removed the equipment, cushions, and took a last-minute walk around to make sure everything was picture-perfect, and checked everything out at 5:30 am. When the team arrived only after 8 am, they were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and were filming in full swing.

Geoff answered questions about his favorite species, demonstrated how to use fuchsia cutting, and performed some deadheading. Geoff&#8217, s recovery terrier Chester also got some time on cameras!

Tune into BBC Gardeners &#8217, World this Friday 22 March at 8pm to see the finished result.

In 2023, 26 flowers that opened for the National Garden Scheme, were featured on Gardeners World helping to create one of the UK&#8217, s best- loved gardening shows.
