Here is another collection of funding rounds from local and national organisations focusing on arts and culture themes aimed at helping charities continue their work.

Whilst every effort has been made to provide up-to-date information, due to the varying nature and progress of public policies and other related activity, MVA do advise that some of the details below may have changed since the time of its issue and ask that readers please check with each organisation’s website for the latest news.

Funding for Contemporary Music Projects from Hinrichsen Foundation
The Hinrichsen Foundation is offering grants to charities and other UK-based organisations to support the performance of contemporary music, including the commissioning of new work, non-commercial recording, or publication.

There are two levels of funding available:

  • One-off small grants (for new applicants and former beneficiaries).
  • Grants for Larger projects or concert series.

The Trustees will occasionally provide funds for research projects that are not being conducted under the remit of an academic institution, and multi-year partnerships may also be considered.

The next deadline for applications is 31st August 2024, with further dates to be announced.

Relaunching in June 2024 – Grants from Idlewild Trust
Grants are available to registered charities working in the following two areas:

Arts Grants: Nurturing Early-Stage Professionals – Supporting programmes that improve opportunities for professionals working creatively within the arts at an early stage in their career.

Conservation Grants: Objects and Works of Art – To support the conservation of historic or artistically important objects and works of art in museums, galleries, places of worship, historic buildings, or their grounds.

Relaunching this June, the deadline for the next round of their application process will be Midday on Thursday 5th September 2024.

The Jerwood Foundation Funding Programme
Grants from the Jerwood Foundation are available for UK arts-based organisations for activities and projects that support the promotion of the arts for public health.

The Jerwood Foundation was recently established as a grant-making charity after merging with the Jerwood Charity (more commonly referred to as Jerwood Arts).

Many of the trustees of the new Foundation were also trustees of the Jerwood Charity, and the Foundation is expected to continue Jerwood Charity’s role as a leading independent funder dedicated to supporting outstanding UK arts and crafts organisations
develop and thrive.

Recently relaunched, the next deadline for applications is Friday 15th June 2024 with further dates to be announced later in the year.
