  • Consumer champion Which? ranked Aldi’s olive oil as one of the best premium supermarket offerings
  • Aldi’s olive oil received a higher score than Waitrose’s – which costs over double the price

With the prices of olive oil drastically rising in recent years, shoppers will be pleased to hear that Aldi’s £5.19 option has been ranked as one of Britain’s best olive oils by consumer champion Which? – a high quality option whilst saving you cash along the way too.

Aldi’s Specially Selected Terra Di Bari Castel Del Monte Extra Virgin Olive Oil (£5.19, 500ml) just earned a Which? Great Value endorsement in the consumer champion’s latest test, being commended for its overall ‘outstanding value’.

With an overall score of 71%, Aldi’s olive oil beat far costlier options from competition including Sainsbury’s (£8.40) and Asda (£7), with Aldi’s oil even blowing Waitrose’s £15.50 offering out of the water, despite it costing nearly two thirds less!

Receiving the coveted ‘Great Value’ accolade, Aldi’s olive oil was praised by Which? for its ‘peppery, pungent flavour’ with judges calling it a ‘perfect low-cost alternative’ to the costlier alternatives.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said:“Olive oil is a staple in most British households, which is why it’s so important to us that our shoppers can purchase a high-quality, great tasting olive oil at an affordable price.”

Aldi’s Specially Selected Terra Di Bari Castel Del Monte Extra Virgin Olive Oil is available in stores and online via Click & Collect now.
