Today’s New Year’s Honours List announces that Family Action Chief Executive, David Holmes CBE will receive a knighthood in recognition of his services to children and families.
David Holmes joined Family Action as Chief Executive in 2013 and since then has transformed Family Action to become a leading national charity supporting tens of thousands of families every year.
Sir David Holmes CBE said,
“It is such a great privilege to lead Family Action and our tremendous team of staff and volunteers. I am reminded every day when I see the impact of our work just how lucky I am to be Family Action’s Chief Executive. I am proud of the recognition this award gives to Family Action’s tireless support of families across the country and on a personal level I feel very honoured.”
Ian Hargrave, Chair of the Family Action Board of Trustees said,
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees and of all Family Action staff and volunteers, I would like to congratulate David on this well-deserved honour. His relentless drive and commitment have seen Family Action go from strength to strength, allowing us to support more and more families in need every year.”
