21st March 2024: With brighter days and lighter evenings just around the corner, M&S is marking the start of a new season with the launch of its Spring Style campaign – and the latest iteration of its ‘Anything but Ordinary’ brand platform.

As M&S continues its journey to evolve and elevate the brand’s style perceptions, the 360 campaign serves up style inspiration across womenswear, menswear and kidswear. Film and stills confidently bring-to-life bold, foundational, and versatile pieces that are set to become wardrobe must-haves– all underpinned by the great quality and value the retailer is known for.

The campaign’s two 30 second TVC stars actress and model Sara Sampaio turning her world into a personal catwalk – confidently and playfully bringing-to-life the style and versatility of the new womenswear Spring collection while lip-synching to Cyndi Lauper’s infectious pop track “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Set to be the song of the season, Lauper was recently confirmed as part of this year’s Glastonbury line-up.

Anna Braithwaite, M&S Marketing Director – Clothing & Home, said: “We wanted to turn heads this Spring with a campaign that really showcases the style journey we’re on and inspires the nation to have fun with their wardrobe. Embodying the spirit of the season, it’s confident, playful – and set to a track that our customers are sure to be humming throughout the season!”

Launching today (21st March) and running in two phases* through until 8 May, the campaign will play out across TV (30 AND 10 second edits), radio, print – including DPSs, FPs and OBCs, OOH – including a new format for M&S – flyposters, DOOH, VOD, digital display – including homepage takeovers, paid and organic social – including influencer activity, PR, ecom, CRM and instore – including window takeovers.
