Following the publication of the long-awaited Martyn’s Law standard tier consultation last week, the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) and the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) have issued a joint sector survey to inform their responses.

SLCC and NALC want to know how ready local (town, parish and community) councils and their clerks feel for the revised standard tier premises requirements proposed in the Home Office consultation. They also want to know levels of awareness of these requirements across the sector, the support and guidance needed, how the sector wants to receive such support, and any training and information needs if the Draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill becomes law.

The sector survey is short, will take less than 5 minutes to complete and can be downloaded here and the final completion deadline is 23:45 on Sunday 18 February 2023.
