Market Yard Car Park in Edenbridge now offers four 7kWh charging points for electric vehicles. &nbsp,

The Town Council is thrilled to participate in a partnership project to install charge-points through Kent Parish Networks, which will receive funding from Kent County Council, grants from the government, and CIL funds ( funds from developers ).

Market Yard was chosen by Edenbridge council members as a suitable location to install the charge-points because it is one of the car parks owned by the Town Council. The electric points are slow-charging, making them perfect for locals or visitors who want to extend their battery life or for those who need to charge a full battery over the course of the night. It’s wonderful to see that some locals and visitors have already started using the chargers, which went into operation in the middle of January.

Users must pay 50p per k Wh, and the charge rate is 7kWh per hour. Users can access the mobile app used for payment by scanning a QR code.
