After completing her first rest day, Linzi will leave Sittingbourne, and start to go into Kent’s popular seaside towns. Next, she will step into the picturesque town of Whitstable, commonly known for its oysters and distinctive character. Linzi will conclude her day in the delightful town of Herne Bay. Known for its classic Victorian architecture and the world’s first freestanding purpose-built Clock Tower, Herne Bay offers a perfect blend of history and seaside charm.

Day seven – Thursday 7th March

Linzi is set for a thrilling day ahead, filled with exploration of some of the most beloved seaside locations in Kent. Her journey begins in Herne Bay, from there, she will travel to Reculver, looking over the Reculver Towers and Roman Fort, a significant archaeological site. Next, she will visit Margate, a vibrant seaside town and Broadstairs, a town rich in literary history and known for its sandy beaches. Ramsgate is her next stop, where she can observe the town’s bustling marina and waterfront. En route to her final destination, she will pass through the beautiful Pegwell Bay Country Park, a haven for wildlife and a popular spot for birdwatching. Her journey concludes in the historic town of Sandwich, one of the original Cinque Ports.

Day eight – Friday 8th March

Embarking on the eighth day of her journey, Linzi will start her day in the historic town of Sandwich. Her next stop will be the charming seaside town of Deal, observing Deal Castle, one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England and admire the beautiful Deal Beach. Finally, Linzi will conclude her day in Dover, a town rich in history and natural beauty and the iconic White Cliffs of Dover.

Day nine – Saturday 9th March

Upon completing her exploration of Dover, Linzi will set off on the next leg of her journey. Her first stop will be the vibrant town of Folkestone. Next, Linzi will travel to Dymchurch, a charming seaside village known for its blue flag awarded sandy beach. Finally, Linzi will arrive at Dungeness, a unique and captivating location known for its vast stretches of shingle and distinctive landscape and explore the local fishing town. This will be Linzi’s last full day in Kent, as she starts to go into Sussex.
