Wet and windy in many areas, especially across the south where rain is likely to be heaviest. Turning drier in the north and west by the end of the night. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Monday:
Windy through the morning with a risk of coastal gales. Rain could linger across East Sussex and Kent until early afternoon. Elsewhere dry, mostly cloudy with sunny intervals slowly developing. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Mostly fine Tuesday, through breezier with some patchy rain by the evening. Drier and brighter Wednesday, lighter winds. Further outbreaks of rain on Thursday with stronger winds. Temperatures near normal.
