Today:

Cloud, rain and strong to gale force winds affecting the far southeast slowly easing, with drier, brighter conditions gradually spreading to all parts later. Temperatures near average but feeling cold given cloud cover and strong winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Winds will continue to ease, with clear spells and light winds allowing a slight frost and areas of fog to develop for some. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Tuesday:

Chilly to start, with freezing fog lifting during the morning to hazy sunshine. Cloud will thicken later, ahead of a weakening band of rain making progress southeastwards into the evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly fine on Wednesday with some sunny spells. Becoming windier and more changeable later in the week, still with some sunshine, but also successive bands of rain.
