With the support of Chatham Maritime Trust, Wetwheels South East are returning to Chatham Maritime Marina for a long weekend – Friday 16th August to Monday 19th August 2024.
Wetwheels South East is a truly unique powerboating experience for the disabled and disadvantaged. The boats are specifically designed to be easily accessible to wheelchair users and give not only a fantastic passenger experience but also be the skipper!
Wetwheels is offering two different experiences, the Chatham River Experience which runs twice daily at 10.30 am and 14.00. This is a trip on the River Medway looking at the sights and sounds of the historic river and estuary and takes 1.5 hours.
The second experience is to see the iconic Maunsell Forts (WWII fortifications that once protected Kent shores from attack) – visually striking. There are three such experiences available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 18.30.
